Davines

Our Philosophy

Davines' philosophy is centred on "Sustainable Beauty” blending scientific research with high-quality, natural ingredients to create professional hair care that respects the environment. Founded in Parma, Italy, the family-owned company promotes a holistic, ethical approach, focusing on biodiversity, minimal environmental impact, and personal well-being.

Our World

Davines is a Certified B Corporation (since 2016), meaning

they meet the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency, balancing profit with purpose. With a high B Impact Score of 123.5, they prioritize sustainability, biodiversity, and ethical practices across their supply chain and employee wellbeing.

Where it is made?

Davines products are designed, formulated, and manufactured in

Parma, Italy, at the company's own specialized laboratories and the sustainable "Davines Village". Founded in 1983, the brand maintains its headquarters there, producing its hair and skincare products in small batches with a focus on sustainability and high-quality, natural ingredients.

AVEDA

Our Mission

Our mission is

to care for the world we live in, from the products they make to the ways in which they give back to society. The company aims to set an example for environmental leadership and responsibility, blending high-performance, plant-based, and cruelty-free products with a commitment to sustainability.

Our World

AVEDA became a Certified B Corporation (B Corp) in early 2023, after successfully completing a rigorous assessment by the independent non-profit B Lab™ that evaluated its environmental and social performance, transparency, and accountability across multiple areas of its business.

Love that Smell?

AVEDA products smell so good because they’re crafted with pure flower and plant essences, rather than synthetic fragrance alone. Their aromas come from carefully blended essential oils like lavender, rosemary, ylang-ylang, peppermint, and citrus- designed using the art and science of aromatherapy.

Each scent is intentionally created to do more than just smell beautiful,  it’s meant to evoke a feeling. Whether it’s calming, uplifting, grounding, or energizing, AVEDA’s signature aromas are part of the experience, turning a hair appointment or home routine into a sensory ritual.

Why are salon products Worth the investment?

When it comes to haircare, not all products are created equal. While drugstore shampoos and conditioners may seem like a convenient and budget-friendly option, salon-quality products offer significant benefits that can make a noticeable difference in the health, appearance, and manageability of your hair.

1. Higher-Quality Ingredients

Salon products are formulated with professional-grade, concentrated ingredients that nourish the hair from the inside out. They typically contain fewer harsh sulfates, silicones, and fillers that can strip natural oils or create buildup over time. Instead, they focus on gentle cleansing agents, botanical extracts, and specialized proteins that target specific hair concerns, whether that’s dryness, breakage, or colour protection.

Example: Davines NOUNOU Shampoo is packed with nourishing tomato extract and designed to restore hydration and softness to over-processed or bleached hair. In contrast, many drugstore shampoos rely on cheap detergents and artificial fragrance that can leave your hair dry and dull.

2. Customization for Your Hair Type

One size does not fit all when it comes to haircare. Salon products are designed with a wide range of hair types and conditions in mind- fine, curly, colour-treated, dry, oily, etc. Allowing your stylist to recommend the exact formula that meets your needs.

Example: Davines MINU Shampoo is specifically formulated for colour-treated hair, helping to protect and prolong colour vibrancy while gently cleansing. Using a generic drugstore shampoo may strip away that salon-fresh tone much faster.

3. Long-Term Hair Health

Because salon products are more concentrated, you often need less per wash, making them last longer than expected. More importantly, they work to improve the condition of your hair over time, rather than just masking problems temporarily.

Example: Davines OI All In One Milk is a lightweight leave-in that detangles, adds shine, protects from heat, and softens all hair types. It delivers lasting results you can see and feel, not just a temporary fix.

4. A Brand That Gives Back

Choosing Davines means supporting a family-owned company that puts people and the planet first. Founded in Parma, Italy, Davines remains family-run and proudly B Corp certified- committed to sustainability, ethical sourcing, and reducing their environmental impact. Their packaging is carbon-neutral, and many of their ingredients come from Slow Food Presidia farms that preserve biodiversity and traditional practices.
